Uploading Files to the Media Library

All of the media files (images, audio, video and documents) that you add to your site will be added to your Media Library. You can add your files individually when creating your pages, or you can upload the media files to your Media Library – this can be especially useful if you have multiple images to add.

Once you have added your media files to the library, you will be able to use them across your site.

If you decide to create a shop via a .csv file with the file names of your images, uploading the images to the library is especially handy – as they will be automatically displayed with your product.

Step 1: From the Main Menu, select Upload Media from under the Images & Media header.

Upload Media

Step 2: You will now be taken to the Upload Media to Media Library page. You are able to either Drag & Drop your files, or select to Browse Computer for files.

Drag & Drop

Step 3: To drag & drop, select the files and drag them into the section titled Drag & Drop Files Here – you can drag & drop one by one, or select multiple files.

Drag & Drop

Alternatively you can press the Browse Computer For Files button, here you can look for files stored on your machine; select the file and press Open (you can add multiple files by holding down shift as you select them).

Adding Files

Note: If you have a large number of files (such as images), we would recommend that these are stored in an easy to locate file.

Step 4: Once your files have uploaded, press the Next Step button. This will take you to your Media Library, where all your files will be stored.
