Having a mobile site is more important than ever, especially as mobile browsing has now surpassed that of desktop. Google have also started to use mobile-first indexing, as the first step in their push to enhance their user’s experience (which is now predominantly mobile).
If you have been using the InstantPro drag & drop editor, then you can make your site mobile friendly in just a few clicks. There is even a handy preview tool, so you can see how your site looks across all devices.
If your site was created using the old editor, you can turn on the Show Mobile-Friendly option, however you may have to do a little extra work, again using the mobile preview tool can be a great help. To make your site truly mobile-friendly though, you will need to use the drag and drop editor.
The below guide shows how to turn on the mobile friendly options:
Step 1: From the Main Menu select Mobile-Friendly Options from under the Pages & Content heading.
Step 2: Use the radio button to select Show Mobile-Friendly Version on Mobile Devices.
Step 3: If you have a Skyscraper anywhere on your site – it will not display properly on mobile (as it takes up a large portion of the side of the page). You can use the buttons to choose between not displaying the skyscrapers on the mobile version, or to have them appear at the bottom of your page.
Step 4: Once you have made your selections press the Save & Finish button.
You can now use the Preview Website feature to see how your pages look across all devices.
Google’s mobile-friendly test is a great way of checking whether Google deems your site mobile-friendly.
