Welcome to the Freeola Customer Support Guides Pages. This guide is intended to give an overview of using the Freeola Voice service through a Technicolor router. For more internet help topics please visit our main Support Page.

Please Note

The Technicolor DGA0122 and DGA4134 were used as a base for this guide. However, this process is likely to be very similar for other models of this hardware, including those used by other providers - such as trooli.

Before starting, ensure that your Freeola Voice service is active and that you have connected your telephone handset to the Green Port 1 on the back of the router.

You will require your VoIP Account information before starting this process. If you do not have this to hand, please confirm your Freeola Voice Settings in your MyFreeola Control Panel before continuing.

  1. In the address bar of your web browser enter the default IP address of the router, http://192.168.1.1.
If you are unsure of where the address bar is on your software, the keyboard shortcut of Ctrl+L is widely used to highlight this field.

  2. Login to the router when prompted. By default, the login credentials should be found on the base of the router.

  3. From the Technicolor home screen, navigate to the Telephony tile and click the switch from OFF to ON.

  4. Now, in the same tile, click the Configure (Cog) Icon to open the SIP Settings page.

    • Set Primary Proxy to sip.voip123.co.uk.

    • Set Expire Time to 300.

    • Set Transport Type to UDP.

    • Set Registration Retry Interval to 300.

    • Click the Save/Tick Icon to save these changes.

  6. Next, click the Phone Numbers tab from the top menu.

  7. Click the X button on the right hand side and delete any numbers already listed.

  8. Click the Show Advanced Option at the top of the page.

  9. Click the Create New button that appears.

  10. On the following page, in the blank row:

    • Click the On/Off Toggle to ON.

    • Set UserName to your VoIP Account Number/Username.

    • Password - Enter your VoIP Password.

    • DisplayName is an optional field, but we would recommend setting this to your Telephone Number.

    • Click Save.
