Before Continuing
Please visit your MyFreeola account and make a note of the following information before continuing, you'll need to know this for later on in the guide:
1 - What protocol your e-mail address is set up to use (IMAP or POP3).
2 - What service is assigned to your e-mail address (EmailPro, Free Email or One Address).
3 - Your e-mail address password.
You can find this information by clicking Email Settings in the left-hand navigation in MyFreeola, then My Email Addresses. You should then be able to click Settings & Features button next to the relevant e-mail address to view all required email settings.
Open System Preferences (typically found in the 'dock' and the Top Apple Menu) then select Internet Accounts from the left-hand side.
You can also access this menu from within Mac Mail from the Mail > Add Account menu options.Click Add Account then Add Other Account from the window that opens.
Select Mail Account and enter your Freeola e-mail details within the fields provided:
Name - can be your name, or whatever text you'd like to be seen as your name when you send e-mail.
Email Address - should be your Freeola e-mail address, in full.
Password - enter your Freeola E-Mail Password.
Click Sign In.You will then need to enter the Mail Server details:
Account Type - will need to be set to IMAP or POP3 depending on the setting in your MyFreeola account.
Incoming Mail Server - will be yourdomainname.freeolamail.net where 'yourdomainname' is your domain name with any dots ( . ) replaced with hyphens ( - ).
For example, if your domain name was freeola.co.uk, the incoming mail server would be freeola-co-uk.freeolamail.net.
Outgoing Mail Server - should be set to smtp.freeolamail.net.If you have an IMAP account, you may be asked to specify what things you wish to sync with the server, select Mail then Done.
Now open Mac Mail and check that your emails are populating. Depending on the size and number of message within your current inbox, this may take some time.
Before removing an email account from your mail client we would always strongly recommend backing up your messages first. Guides on Backing Up mail within the most popular email clients can be found towards the bottom of our Email Guides page.
With Mac Mail open select Mail then Preferences from the Top Navigation Menu. On the window that opens select the Accounts tab.
From the left-hand panel, select the account you wish to remove then click the Minus ( - ) button at the bottom of the pane.
Confirm the warning message to remove the account from your software.
