Welcome to the Freeola Internet customer support pages. The following guide will take you through working with redirect code produced using GoMobi. For more internet help topics please visit our main Support Page.

Please Note

The GoMobi product is no longer offered for sale via Freeola. If you are looking to make use of responsive websites, our InstantPro Building Software automatically provides these features at no additional cost. For more information on InstantPro, please visit

If you have a full website and have created a goMobi mobile website, then you may wish to automatically send mobile users that visit your full desktop website to your mobile website. This is what the goMobi redirect code does.

Generally it's just a case of adding the redirect code to the correct place on your full website and letting the redirect code work its magic.

Obtaining Redirect Code

In order to obtain the redirect code for your GoMobi site, you will need to login to your MyFreeola account and select GoMobi Mobile Websites from the left hand navigation. You will then be shown a list of active GoMobi sites in your account.

Now, click Get Redirect Code from beside the GoMobi site in question to be taken to the page where the redirect code is generated. There are a couple of options on this page, the first being the site address that you would like to send mobile visitors too. This is purely down to your preference and shouldn't have any negative affects.

The second is the programming language that you would like the redirect code in. As a rule of the thumb, if you don't know, generally the JavaScript code is the safe option, although see below for more help with the progamming language that you might use with different services and how you might use the generated code.

Once you've selected the address and programming language, click Generate, and you will be provided with the redirect code for your site.

Using Redirect Code

There are many different ways that you may need to use the redirect code for your GoMobi site depending on the hosting service that you are using and the programming language that your site is created in. See below for more specific information.

Freeola InstantPro Website

Freeola VIP or Standard Hosting

Non-Freeola Hosted Website

InstantPro Website

For InstantPro sites, you would need to obtain the redirect code in JavaScript. To add this to your site you will need to access the InstantPro website builder from MyFreeola (InstantPro Website Builder from the left hand navigation, then click Edit) and select Custom Code & Snippets from the overview.

Now if you click the Custom <head> Code tab you will be shown a text area where custom head code can be added to your InstantPro site. This is where you will need to paste the redirect code obtained above. If you then click Finish, any mobile visitors to your InstantPro site should automatically be sent to your GoMobi site.

Freeola VIP or Standard Hosting

If your website is on Freeola's VIP hosting or standard free hosting services, many of the programming language options should work, however the simplest and cleanest option is often to use .htaccess.

To do this you will first need to access your website hosting using FileZilla and download the existing .htaccess file if there is one within .htdocs. You may need to enable hidden files from the menu for this file to appear.

If you don't already have a .htaccess file, you can create one using notepad or the text editor of your choice. Now open the .htaccess file in notepad if you haven't already and paste the redirect code in above any existing content.

If you then upload the file to the htdocs folder within FileZilla, any mobile traffic should then be redirected automatically to your mobile site.

Non-Freeola Hosted Website

If your website is not hosted with Freeola and you are not sure which programming language that the redirect code should be provided in, you may need to contact your web designer to determine this and implement the code.

Generally, the JavaScript option is the most compatible will different websites and just needs to be added to the <head> section of all pages on your site. Alternatively if you decide to use the redirect code for one of the other programming language options, this needs to be added to the very top of the code for your site, before any other code is executed.

Note: We will no longer be selling GoMobi, if you are looking for a mobile-responsive site builder, this is now a feature of InstantPro.
