Freeola Voice Setup on Zyxel VMG8623-T50B Router

Welcome to the Freeola Internet customer support pages. This guide is designed to help with setting up the Freeola Voice residential VoIP service on a Zyxel Router. For more internet help topics please visit our main Support Page.
While this guide was written using the model VMG8623 as a base, these instructions should still be correct for other models of the hardware, albeit with some slight wording and visual differences.
In order to configure your router you will need to be connected to it either wirelessly or via an Ethernet cable (a wired connection is recommended). Once connected, open your chosen internet browser (Firefox, Edge, Chrome, Safari etc.).
In the address bar of your web browser enter the default IP address of the router, http://192.168.1.1.
If you are unsure of where the address bar is on your software, the keyboard shortcut of Ctrl+L is widely used to highlight this field.You will now be prompted to log into your hardware. By default, the Username is admin and the Password will be printed on the back of the router. Click Login once entered.
Once you have logged in, select the Burger Menu (three horizontal lines) in the top right of the screen, now select Voip then SIP from the menu that appears.
On the new window click Add New Provider (or Modify if you've already added a service and wish to edit).
Change the following settings to the values below:
SIP service Provider Name - Freeola
SIP Proxy Server address - sip.voip123.co.uk
SIP Registrar Server address - sip.voip123.co.uk
SIP Service Domain - sip.voip123.co.uk
Outbound Proxy Address - sip.voip123.co.uk
DTMF Mode - RFC 2833
To save, scroll to the bottom of page and click OK.
Now, go to the SIP account tab where you should see an account to modify.
On this page, enter the information below:
Sip Account Number - Enter your VoIP Account Number/Username.
Username - Enter your VoIP Account Number/Username.
Password - Enter your VoIP Password.
If you do not have your VoIP Account Information to hand, you can confirm your Freeola Voice Settings in your MyFreeola Control Panel.
Click OK to save.
