Call Features Available using a Grandstream HT801

The following table provides a summary of call features accessible by taking specific actions on your telephone handset. Some features can be controlled via the managing MyFreeola Control Panel for the service.

Not all features listed below are available when using Freeola Voice. If in any doubt, please visit the Freeola Voice section of your MyFreeola account to manage the full list of service features.

*02 Forcing a Codec (per call)
  • *027110 (PCMU)

  • *027111 (PCMA)

  • *02723 (G723)

  • *02729 (G729)

  • *027201 (iLBC)

  • *02722 (G722)

A VoIP Codec can affect audio quality of your calls. Unless you have a specific reason to do so, it is recommended to NOT make changes to this setting.
*16 Enable SRTP. SRTP is an additional level of encryption for VoIP communications and is generally not required outside of large organisations.
*17 Disable SRTP.  
*30 Block Caller ID (for all subsequent calls). Enabling this option will prevent your Caller ID from displaying when you make a call.
*31 Send Caller ID (for all subsequent calls). Causing your Caller ID to display on all outgoing calls.
*47 Direct IP Calling.
Dial *47 + IP address.
Allows you to call another phone directly via it's IP address. Replace the '.' of the address with '*'.
*50 Disable Call Waiting (for all subsequent calls). Disables the Call Waiting feature. Anybody dialling your number will receive a 'busy' tone.

This feature can be controlled from within the managing MyFreeola Control Panel.
*51 Enable Call Waiting (for all subsequent calls).

If enabled, three short beeps will be heard to indicate a waiting call. Use the Flash/Hook button to toggle between your active calls.

This feature can be controlled from within the managing MyFreeola Control Panel.

*67 Block Caller ID (per call).
Dial *67 + number.
Blocks your Caller ID for the next call only.
*82 Send Caller ID (per call).
Dial *82 + number.
Enables your Caller ID for the next call only.
*69 Call Return Service.
Dial *69.
Your phone will dial the last incoming phone number received.
*70 Disable Call Waiting (per call).
Dial *70 + number.
Disables Call Waiting for the next call only.
*71 Enable Call Waiting (per call).
Dial *71 + number.
Enables Call Waiting for the next call only.
*72 Unconditional Call Forward.
Dial *72 and then the forwarding number followed by #. Wait for dial tone and hang up.

Forwards all incoming calls to another phone number. Any calls received using this feature will be counted against any Freeola Voice Minutes.

This feature can be controlled from within the managing MyFreeola Control Panel.

*73 Cancel Unconditional Call Forward.
Dial *73, wait for dial tone, then hang up.

Cancels the Call Forwarding.

This feature can be controlled from within the managing MyFreeola Control Panel.

*74 Enable Paging Call.
Dial *74 and then the phone number you want to page.
Pages the device connected to the dialled number.
*78 Enable Do Not Disturb (DND). When enabled all incoming calls are rejected.
*79 Disable Do Not Disturb (DND). When disabled all incoming calls are accepted
*87 Blind Transfer. Transfer a call to another number 'blind'. I.E. the destination number will ring and connect immediately to the call transferred to them.
*90 Busy Call Forward
Dial *90 and then the forwarding number followed by #. Wait for dial tone then hang up.

If the line is busy forwards incoming calls to another phone number. Any calls received using this feature will be counted against any Freeola Voice Minutes.

This feature can be controlled from within the managing MyFreeola Control Panel.

*91 Cancel Busy Call Forward.
Dial *91, wait for dial tone, then hang up.

Cancels the forwarding of calls while the line is busy.

This feature can be controlled from within the managing MyFreeola Control Panel.

*92 Delayed Call Forward.
Dial *92 and then the forwarding number followed by #. Wait for dial tone then hang up.

If an incoming call is unanswered, it will be forwarded to the specified number. Any calls received using this feature will be counted against any Freeola Voice Minutes.

This feature can be controlled from within the managing MyFreeola Control Panel.

*93 Cancel Delayed Call Forward. Dial *93, wait for dial tone, then hang up. Cancels Delayed Call Forwarding.
Flash/Hook Toggles between active call and incoming call (call waiting tone).  
# Re-Dial previously dialled number.
