Welcome to the Freeola Customer Support Guides Pages. This guide is intended to give an overview of amending address and contact details of a Freeola Voice service through the MyFreeola Control Panel. For more internet help topics please visit our main Support Page.

A Home VoIP service with Freeola provides you with lots of extras, including a no-fuss option for moving home. However, the standard features still include the ability to make emergency calls, just as you would on a traditional landline phone.

Emergency calls on a VoIP Home Phone

When setting up your Freeola Voice service, your new virtual landline will be assigned to your home address. This allows for emergency services to recognise your location when you make a call to them, meaning that the calls will work in exactly the same way as with a standard landline.

As such, it is important that you keep the associated address up to date in your MyFreeola account. If you move, or the address is incorrect, you must tell us by editing the address listed for your service.

How do I update the address for my VoIP service?

  1. Log into your MyFreeola account, and select Freeola Voice (VoIP) then Voice Settings & Features from the left-hand menu.

  2. Click Settings next to your package.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page to the Additional Settings section. Click Show Additional Settings to expand this section.

  4. Select Emergency Address Settings from the list.

  5. You will now be able to edit the address fields - click Update Address to save, or Cancel to make no changes.

What else do I need to do if I move?

Moving does not require any further changes, you can simply connect to a live broadband service to make and receive calls without adjustment to your VoIP settings. If you have one of our VoIP adapters, connecting it to your phone and router should be everything, and your service will be live in minutes.
