w3cschools - This site gives gives several tutorials and guides on creating PHP and HTML pages and elements.
Hot Scripts - This is a very good archive of scripts that you may wish to use on your site including hit counters, guest books, e-commerce and voting/polling systems to name but a few.
Web Monkey - This is a highly under rated resource, full of information with some excellent guides for a large number of scripting languages available for "beginners", "builders" and "masters"...
HTML/XML Validator - This handy site checks and validates any web page you create. For further information on Markup Validation please click here.
CSS Validator - A similar site to the one above, except for validating CSS code.
Tizag - Another site that is full of HTML and PHP creation tutorials.

Freeola PHP Essentials - This is one of our own pages with tips on the essentials for using PHP on our hosting service.
UK PHP - The official guide from the UK developers of PHP. This contains a significant amount of reference information about all the functions and variables that you will need when compiling a website that includes PHP.
PHP Builder - This website is quite useful as a quick reference guide.
E-107 - A powerful, easy to use content management system. Please note that use of some scripts on this site require access to a MySQL database.
Invision Board - One of the industry leaders in message board software. Please note that use of some scripts on this site require access to a MySQL database.
V-Bulletin - If you are willing to pay for scripts, this is a top-end commercial site which can produce high quality message boards in either Perl or PHP.

FTP Clients
Once created all web pages will need to be uploaded using a system called File Transfer Protocol, often abbreviated to FTP. Freeola provides a series of guides for this programs, a list of which can be found here. However, some of the more popular ones are listed below.
Filezilla - A small free FTP client that is support by both Windows and MAC operating systems. A guide for using this program can be found here.
