Mac Mail Setup for Freeola Email Addresses

Welcome to the Freeola internet customer support pages. This guide is designed to help with setting up your Freeola email address on Mac Mail. For more internet help topics please visit our main Support Page

To be able to Send & Receive e-mail with Freeola Email Freedom, you will first of all have to make some really easy changes to your E-mail Client's settings. This guide assumes that you have already set up your e-mail address within Mac Mail, if you would like assistance for this please visit our Mac Mail set-up guide.

1. Load the Mac Mail program.

2. Once you've opened Mail, please click on the menu labeled Mail and select Preferences. Make sure you have the Accounts Icon selected, from these select Account Information.

3. In order to edit the Outgoing Mail (or SMTP) Server you will need to click Edit Server List from the Outgoing Mail Server drop-down menu. In this new window select the + icon to add a new server.

4. Ensuring that the new server is selected click the Account Information header. In the Description box enter a phrase or title to help identify this account for future use, smtp-auth.freeola.net is one suggested description. In Server Name Field type smtp-auth.freeola.net.

5. Click the Advanced tab, the server port should be left as the default setting of 25, if you are having problems sending mail using this setting we advise to use the port number 2025 as an alternitave. Authentication should be set to Password, in the User Name field you will need to enter your Freeola E-Mail User Name. This will take the form of an 'sr' number, for example sr0123456-001. In the Password field enter your Freeola E-Mail Password.

Please Note: This information is case sensitive and will not work if entered incorrectly. If you do not have this information to hand it is readily available through the View/Edit E-mail Addresses link within the left-hand navigation section of your MyFreeola account.

6. Once you click OK your e-mail will be ready to use from any internet connection!
