Windows Mail Setup for Freeola Email

Welcome to the Freeola Internet customer support pages. This guide is designed to help with setting up your Freeola e-mail address on Windows Mail when using the free email or Email Freedom services. For more internet help topics please visit our main Support Page.

 

Please Note

If you are using the EmailPro service, please see the EmailPro variation of this guide as the settings and options are slightly different.

 

  1. Load the Windows Mail program from the start menu.

  2. From the menu bar select Tools, then Accounts. In the window that opens, click the Add button.

  3. From the window that opens click E-Mail Account to highlight it blue and then select Next.

  4. Enter the name you wish to show on outgoing e-mails within the Display name field and click Next.

  5. Enter the Freeola e-mail address you wish to add into the program and click Next.

  6. By default the Incoming e-mail server type should be set to POP3, if it is not select this from the drop-down menu. Enter mail.freeola.net into the POP3 incoming mail server box and smtp.freeola.net into the SMTP outgoing mail server box. Click Next.

    Please Note: This SMTP server will only work on Freeola Internet connections. If you have signed up for Freeola Email Freedom please see the Email Freedom guide for setting up your SMTP server details.

  7. In the next window enter your Email address in to the Email username field. In the Password field enter your Freeola E-Mail Password. Please Note: This information is case sensitive and will not work if entered incorrectly. If you do not have this information to hand it is readily available through the View/Edit E-mail Addresses link within the left-hand navigation section of your MyFreeola account. Once this information is entered click Next.

  8. The final page of the setup wizard will simply ask if you wish to download your e-mail straight away or not. If you do not wish to begin using your Freeola e-mail address immediately simply tick the box that reads "Do not download my e-mail at this time". Once you are happy with your selection please click Finish.
