Configuring Netscape for E-mail Freedom

Welcome to the Freeola internet customer support pages. This guide is designed to help with setting up your Freeola email address on Netscape Communicator and assumes that you have already configured your email client for use with Freeola email and would like to amend the settings for use with Freeola Email Freedom.

Here are brief instructions for configuring Netscape to work with Freeola E-mail Freedom. There may be slight visual/wording differences between versions but the underlying procedure is the same.



  1. Load Netscape.

  2. From the menu bar select Edit, then Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings.

  3. From the side menu select the Outgoing Server tab.

  4. Change Server Name to smtp-auth.freeola.net.

  5. Tick the Use name and password box and enter your e-mail address into the username field.

    Please Note: This information is case sensitive and will not work if entered incorrectly. If you do not have this information to hand it is readily available through the View/Edit E-mail Addresses link within the left-hand navigation section of your MyFreeola account.

  6. Please ensure that Use secure connection is set to NEVER.

  7. Click OK to finish the set-up and to allow your e-mail to be used from any internet connection!
