Please Note
Please note that Netscape Communicator tends to be quite complicated to set up more than one account compared to Microsoft Outlook Express. For this reason we recommend you use Outlook Express if you require more than one e-mail address on the same machine. Outlook Express comes with as standard with Windows XP. The Outlook Express set-up guide can be found here.
Run Netscape.
Go to the Edit menu and select Preferences.
If you are using a Mac, select identity from Mail & Newsgroups and make sure that the Use Internet Config is disabled.
Select Mail Servers from Mail & Newsgroups.
If there is already an Incoming Mail Server listed in the Incoming Mail Servers section then select it and click Edit otherwise click Add.
In the Mail Server info window, enter the Server Name as 'mail.freeola.net', the Server Type should be 'POP', in the User Name, you will need to reenter your email address. In the Password field enter your Freeola E-Mail Password. Please Note: This information is case sensitive and will not work if entered incorrectly. If you do not have this information to hand it is readily available through the View/Edit E-mail Addresses link within the left-hand navigation section of your MyFreeola account.
If you would like the e-mail program to remember your password, tick the Save Password option but don't enter the password yet.
Once you are satisfied with the settings click OK.
The preferences window in the Outgoing Mail Server area should be set as follows:

If have signed up for our Email Freedom service you will be required to enter
'smtp-auth.freeola.net' as your outgoing mail server. This server also requires you to select My Server Requires Authentication in order to function correctly, you will also be required to select Use Same Settings As Incoming Server or re-enter your e-mail username and password were prompted.
Some internet providers also restrict the use of certain ports for sending messages. Because of this we would also advise entering the Advanced section of your e-mail account set-up and changing the SMTP port from 25 to 2025.
