Configuring Outlook to work with E-mail Freedom

Welcome to the Freeola internet customer support pages. This guide is designed to help with setting up your Freeola email address on Microsoft Outlook and assumes that you have already configured your email client for use with Freeola email and would like to amend the settings for use with Freeola Email Freedom.

To be able to Send & Receive e-mail with Freeola E-mail Freedom, you will first of all have to make some basic changes to your E-mail Client's settings.



These instructions should be relevant to all current versions of Microsoft Outlook. There may be slight visual/wording differences between versions but the underlying procedure is the same.

To be able to Send & Receive e-mail with Freeola E-mail Freedom, you will first of all have to make some basic changes to your E-mail Client's settings.

 

  1. Load Microsoft Outlook.

  2. From the menu bar select Tools, then Email Accounts.

  3. Select View or Change Existing Accounts and click Next.

  4. Press Change for the relevant E-mail Account then Next.

  5. The new window should display a list of information for your e-mail account. In the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) field type smtp-auth.freeola.net.

  6. Next select More Options from this page. Under the Outgoing Server tab ensure the options for My Server Requires Authentication and Use Same Settings As My Incoming Server are ticked.

  7. Click OK, Next then Finish and your e-mail will be ready to use.
