Here are brief instructions for setting up Microsoft Outlook to work with a Freeola EmailPro e-mail address. These instructions should be relevant to all current versions of Microsoft Outlook. There may be slight visual/wording differences between versions but the underlying procedure is the same.
Load Microsoft Outlook.
From the menu bar select Tools, then E-mail Accounts. In the window that opens, select Add A New E-mail Account. Then click Next.
For the server type select IMAP or POP3 depending on the setting in your MyFreeola account (default is POP3). Then click Next.
To determine, or change your current server type, you would need to login to your MyFreeola account and select View/Edit Email Addresses from the left hand navigation. If you then press Settings & Features from beside the email address that you are setting up, you will be taken into the email control panel where you can view or change this setting.
The next 3 stages are all under the same section on Microsoft Outlook.User Information - Enter the name you want to appear on outgoing e-mails from you in the Your Name field. For example if your name is John Smith you may want to enter 'John Smith' or 'Mr J Smith' within this field. Then in the E-mail Address field, enter the e-mail address that you want to add.
Login Information - In the Username field you will need to enter your Freeola Email Address. In the Password field enter your Freeola E-Mail Password. Please Note: This information is case sensitive and will not work if entered incorrectly. If you do not have this information to hand it is readily available through the View/Edit E-mail Addresses link within the left-hand navigation section of your MyFreeola account.
Server Information - Enter your incoming mail server into the incoming mail server box. This will take the form of yourdomainname.freeolamail.net where yourdomainname is your domain name with any dots ( . ) replaced with hyphens ( - ). Enter smtp.freeolamail.net into the SMTP outgoing mail server box.
Press More Settings and navigate to the Outgoing Server tab. You will then need to ensure that My outgoing server requires authentication is ticked and that it is set to Use the same settings as the incoming mail server. Press OK to close the More Settings form then Click Next.
Click Finish on the E-mail Accounts window.
Your e-mail address is now set up in Microsoft Outlook and is ready to send and receive e-mail. To do so, simply click Send/Receive on the icon menu at the top of Microsoft Outlook.
