Blackberry Setup for Freeola Email

Welcome to the Freeola Internet customer support pages. This guide is designed to help with setting up an e-mail address within a BlackBerry for mobile e-mail. For more internet help topics please visit our main Support Page.

Please Note

If you are using the EmailPro service, please see the EmailPro variation of this guide as the settings and options are slightly different.

Here are brief instructions for setting up a BlackBerry to work with a Freeola e-mail address. These instructions should be relevant to all current versions of the BlackBerry e-mail client. There may be slight visual/wording differences between versions of the smartphone but the underlying procedure is the same.

  1. From the home page or home screen scroll the trackball to the Email Settings icon and then click the trackball.

  2. To continue with the set-up please click Next.

  3. Read and accept the terms of the license agreement provided by BlackBerry, select the I have read and understand the End User Agreement check box and select I Agree to continue.

  4. To integrate your Freeola email address, enter your full email address in the e-mail address field and the password for that email account within the Password field.

Please Note: This information is case sensitive and will not work if entered incorrectly. If you do not have this information to hand it is readily available through the View/Edit E-mail Addresses link within the left-hand navigation section of your MyFreeola account.

  5. Click the Next option. The displayed page will confirm if the email address has been successfully added to your device. Then click OK to continue.

  6. To return to the setup wizard, click Log Out or Close options.

  7. Before you try to receive your e-mails please make sure your blackberry or sim card has been activated and that your device is connected to the wireless network and that you're in an area with wireless coverage.

  8. Your BlackBerry should now be set-up to receive e-mails from your Freeola e-mail address.
