Welcome to the Freeola Internet customer support pages. This guide is designed to help with setting up your Freeola e-mail address on an iPhone. For more internet help topics please visit our main Support Page.
Here are brief instructions for setting up the iPhone, please be aware that different software versions may have slight differences in wording and layout however you should be able to work out what goes where.
1. To configure Freeola e-mail addresses on the iPhone you need to tap "Mail" from the home screen.
2. Then select "Other" and choose POP from the tab menu.
3. Enter your name, e-mail address and a description.
4. Under "Incoming Mail Server" you will need to set the "Host Name" as "mail.freeola.net", then enter your username which will be something like "sr0123456-001" and password. You can find these details in your MyFreeola account here.
5. Now to set up the outgoing server set the "Host Name" to "smtp-auth.freeola.net", and set the same username and password as you used above in the appropriate fields. Freeola's outgoing (SMTP) e-mail servers are designed for use by Freeola internet and e-mail service subscribers. To use these mail servers on your iPhone you will require an Email Freedom subscription. Freeola Email Freedom is just £2 per month, or free to all Freeola Broadband customers.
6. The default outgoing port will normally be set to 25, however this will need to be changed to 2025 in order to work with the Freeola service.
7. Tap "Save" and your iPhone should now be able to send and receive for your Freeola e-mail address.
