Here are set-up instructions for iMac or PowerMac computers running MacOSX and how to configure your modem settings. You can check which version of the system software your computer is using by clicking on your desktop and selecting 'ABOUT THIS MACINTOSH' from the Apple Menu.
1. Click on the Apple Menu in the top left corner of your screen and choose 'Location' then 'Network Preferences'.
2. In the window that opens next, click on 'Locations' drop down menu and choose 'New Location'. In the 'Name your new location' field enter Freeola then click 'OK'.
3. Next, select the PPP tab and in the 'Account Name' box, enter your Dial-Up User Name. Your dial-up user name takes the form of: 'sr0123456' (sr0123456@freeolaanytime.net for Anytime customers), in the 'Password' box, enter the Dial-Up Password assigned to you when you created the connection. If you are unable to find either of these you can access this information by selecting 'Dial-up Connection Settings' from within your MyFreeola Control Panel. Also ensure the option 'Show modem status in menu bar' is ticked.
4. Next, click on the 'TCP/IP' tab and choose 'Using PPP' from the 'Configure' drop down menu, all other fields should be left blank. Click the 'Apply Now' button to save your Freeola profile settings.
5. To connect to the Internet using your Freeola dial-up connection you can either click on the telephone icon on the menu bar located in the top right corner of your screen and then choose your Freeola connection or click on the Apple Menu and choose 'Location' and then choose your Freeola connection.
