But before you decide, we’d like to give you some honest advice and information on the possible reasons for terminating your service.
 
As you are probably aware, companies providing ‘Free’ broadband, and increasingly cheap broadband are becoming more and more popular these days, but we firmly believe that in reality, you get what you pay for. If you are thinking of moving your broadband service to another provider, you may well find that there are certain 'hidden' costs that you'll have to pay regardless of how free or cheap the service is.

A recent survey by Which? shows that 'Free Broadband' deals aren't quite as 'Free' as they may seem, which is why we believe our broadband packages, complete with our unique and unlimited services are extremely hard to beat. You may find that if you signed up for 'Free' broadband, that you are required to take out extra, costly services, and tie yourself in to 12 or even 18 month contracts. The 'Free' laptop offer with AOL comes with a 24 month contract and £14.99 delivery charge. If you're tempted by TalkTalk's 'Free' broadband deal, you'll have to sign up for an £8.99 a month call plan, and also pay £11 a month line rental for a total of 18 months. You are only eligible for Orange's cheaper packages if you live in an LLU enabled area, if not your packages will cost at least £4 p/m more.


*Orange's hosting only allows 5 sites to be hosted.
To get Tiscali's cheapest broadband package, you will also need to move your telephone service over to them.


*With Tiscali's hosting options you are not able to use your own domain name.
The cheaper prices for BT's packages are only available if you choose an 18 month contract. If you want to downgrade your BT broadband connection there is a charge of £40. Virgin's cheapest broadband package comes with a 1Mb speed, all Freeola broadband packages have up to 8Mb!

Freeola Broadband Account Termination
 
 
 
1 There is a 30 day notice period required for a termination request. However, there is no minimum term contract. A termination request can be completed at any stage during service from the date of activation.
2 By completing and returning the form on the following page, your broadband connection will be terminated 30 days following the date we receive this form. All broadband internet connectivity will cease after this date. We will e-mail the address supplied when you signed up with details of the exact termination date.
3 If you proceed with this termination, please be aware that future activations may not qualify for discounted rates.
4 Please do not cancel your Freeola Broadband ADSL Direct Debit mandate with your bank until the termination date has passed as pro-rata adjustments may be required.
5 Upon completion of the termination, your Freeola account will be reverted to a Freeola 0845 dial-up account which attracts no monthly charges. Dial-up access via our published 0845 numbers will be charged at low-cost local telephone rates according to your telephone provider.

Freeola Broadband Account Migration
 
 
 
1 A migration request can be completed at any stage during the service from the date of activation.
2 A migration code will be provided to the e-mail address provided within 5 working days from when we receive the request.
3 Each migration code will expire after 30 days. If you or your new provider fails to move your connection within the 30 days, the migration code will expire and we will consider the matter closed. If your migration code expires before you move your broadband, your current Freeola broadband connection will still exist, but you can request a new migration code at any time.
4 Please do not cancel your Freeola Broadband ADSL Direct Debit mandate with your bank until the migration date has passed as pro-rata adjustments may be required.
5 Upon completion of the migration, your Freeola Broadband account will be reverted to a Freeola 0845 dial-up account which attracts no monthly charges. Dial-up access via our published 0845 numbers will be charged at low-cost local telephone rates according to your telephone provider.
